Get clear on exactly what to do, what to apply for, and how to position your story to stand out.
-Most families start here.
We envision a future where college affordability is not a mystery, a gamble, or a last-minute scramble but a strategic, informed, and achievable process for every family.
Scholar Dollars exists to eliminate the scholarship gap for students who are overlooked by traditional financial aid systems, especially high-achieving, middle-income families who are expected to “figure it out” on their own.
Our vision is to empower students early, equip parents with clarity, and transform scholarships from random wins into repeatable outcomes. Through education, strategy, and advocacy, we help families plan smarter, position stronger, and pursue college without unnecessary financial stress.
Most students either don’t understand how to tell their story — or they understand it, but get stuck trying to put it on paper.
This is where scholarships are won or lost.
This system shows you how to:
• Turn real life experiences into powerful, memorable stories
• Stand out to scholarship committees (even without perfect stats)
• Avoid the common essay mistakes that cost students thousands
• Confidently organize and write essays step-by-step
The guide teaches the strategy.
The workbook helps your student apply it.
Before your student writes a single essay, make sure they know how to position — and present — their story the right way.
Most families miss out on scholarships not because they aren’t qualified, but because they don’t know where to look or how to manage the process.
This is where opportunities are gained or missed.
The Scholarship Navigator helps families:
• Access curated scholarship opportunities in one place
• Track deadlines so nothing slips through the cracks
• Stay organized throughout the entire application process
• Turn strategy into consistent action
In this 1-on-1 session, we’ll break down your experiences, identify your strongest angles, and create a clear strategy so you can confidently apply for scholarships that fit you best. You’ll leave with direction, clarity, and a plan you can immediately take action on.

I’m LaTonya Adams, a veteran educator and scholarship strategist with over 20 years of experience supporting students and families across K–12 education. I have a deep, behind-the-scenes understanding of how academic choices impact future scholarship opportunities. Throughout my career, I noticed that many high-achieving students were missing out on scholarships, not because of ability, but because of timing, positioning, and lack of clear guidance. Families were doing everything they were told, yet still facing overwhelming college costs, especially those who earn too much for traditional financial aid. That disconnect is what I call the scholarship gap.
I created Scholar Dollars to help families close that gap through early planning and proven strategy. I believe scholarships should not be left to chance or senior-year panic. My work focuses on helping families understand how decisions made as early as middle school can shape future college affordability. I also partner with schools to provide structured, age-appropriate scholarship education that builds confidence and reduces misinformation. Known for my clear, direct approach, I help families move from confusion to confidence.
My goal is simple: to help students win scholarships through early planning, clear guidance, and proven strategy.
